I think Im beginning to really miss The Big Me:
Former President Bill Clinton said Friday that delays in offshore oil and gas drilling permits are ridiculous at a time when the economy is still rebuilding, according to attendees at the IHS CERAWeek conference.
Clinton spoke on a panel with former President George W. Bush that was closed to the media. Video of their moderated talk with IHS CERA Chairman Daniel Yergin was also prohibited.
Clinton said there are ridiculous delays in permitting when our economy doesnt need it, according to Noe and others.
This came at the same conference where Clinton made remarks supporting a no-fly zone in Libya and saying that the US should not let Libyan rebels twist in the wind, as we are now, as one questioner put the issue to him. Bill Clinton sounds a lot more like George W. Bush these days than Barack Obama. In fact, that comparison was easy to make, thanks to Bushs presence at the conference, and Clinton himself made it:
Bush said all the things youd expect him to say on oil and gas issues, said Jim Noe, senior vice president at Hercules Offshore and executive director of the pro-drilling Shallow Water Energy Security Coalition. But Clinton added, Youd be surprised to know that I agree with all that, according to Noe and others in the room.
Both former Presidents agreed that one of the main issues in clearing offshore permits was getting workers back on the job. And yet, as Jazz Shaw noted yesterday after Obamas press conference, the number of operating rigs has dwindled sharply since the Deepwater Horizon failure almost a year ago. Weve dropped from 55 working rotary rigs in April 2010 to just 25 today. The permitorium imposed by the Obama administration is the chief reason for the drop, and yet despite a court order, the White House continues to block efforts to get oil workers back on the job of producing American oil for American consumers.
Ive been missing George Bush for more than two years. Who knew Id be missing Bill Clinton by this time?
Lets hope we dont get to the point where were missing
. Jimmy Carter.
Ok, Clinton doesn’t say anything without personal motive. A Hillary! challenge of Obama?
bubba smells an opening for the hildebeaste in ‘12......
Bill Clinton has been avoiding POTUS Obama for weeks. Clinton knows Obama is “radioactive” from head to toe and....Clinton will do all he can to distance himself from Obama & company. Clinton sees the handwriting on the wall, and wants to be in a position to pickup the pieces of the Democrat Party after Obama is flushed down the toilet in November, 2012.
Yep, keep an eye on these, two.
What´s wrong with having islamists twist in the wind¨?
Now watch for Obama jump on the “drill, baby, drill” wagon.
I smell an election coming on.
0bama makes Clinton look like Winston Churchill.....
For being a Rhodes Scholar, sexual addict in the White House literally, and a seeming compulsive liar, sometimes Clinton seems to have half a brain.
Positioning Hillary for one last run IMO.
Was Monica their below his table?
Wow.
It’s pretty sad state of affairs we’ve come to that we have to beg the government for permission to do work that needs done.
Yes, he said it for the Hildebeast’s campaign in 2012. And to jab at obama. AND I thank him for it. Clinton speaking out on this adds a lot of heft against obama and his IDIOT salazar puppet.
Doing his wife's dirty work.
I wouldn't pee on a RAT if one were on fire.
Now watch for Obama jump on the ?drill, baby, drill? wagon.
He may say it, but he will never ‘do’ it. The same as last time. We have seen that dance.
His loyalty is with the Muslims as he said very explicitly in his book. All of this is very intentional. IMO And, I wonder how accidental the BP ‘accident’ as it played perfectly into Obama’s agenda and Saudi interests.
(how he ever got elected?...it is insanity)
Lying POS
