Tokyo just got smacked hard. Still feeling tremors. Refrigerator broken, glass everywhere. I'm safe.

In these kinds of disasters, the Japanese people really do pull together and more or less keep their cool. You’ll see no looting whatsoever, considerable order, friendliness and (nervous) laughter/humor to sooth nerves. Gotta love Japan and the Japanese. What a contrast to the US when society breaks down even the smallest amount.
Good to hear that you're safe and will likely stay that way. You don't have to worry about the two legged animals.
