25 to life is the max you can get in New York on a Murder 2. The Court of Appeals got rid of our Capital Murder statute, complete with death penalty a few years back. Same judge [Judy Kaye] did it to this statute, and the last one [when Cuomo, Sr. was the governor].

25 years to life likely means life. No parole board is going to let him out.

I don't know.
100 years to life, less 25 years for being a Muslim, less 25 years for being a minority, less 25 years for being unaccustomed to American customs (after all it is OK to behead you wife in most Arab countries) = 25 years.
25 years with time off for good behavior probably means he will be out in time to vote in the 2012 election.

That’s what I was thinking. It should have been life, or execution, which is what I prefer. I don’t want to have to pay for this scum for the next however many years. He’ll cost us millions.
