I'm not sure, but I know that I forgot it in the first post.
I've seen times where somebody put a GIANT font in their post and left it there accidentally, and we'd have 2 dozen subsequent posts trying to end it.

They used to. People who would forget to close their HTML tags would cause havoc on some of the threads in years gone by.
