I had a Series III Landrover in the early 70s. The heater was totally inadequate but the hoses could be disconnected and run directly into our jackets.

Shoulda put in the real heater. My 1967 Series IIA 5 door wagon had that one; it was so large than it could be used as the engine radiator if one kept the power down instead of flooring the gas.
