Iran to build jet trainer aircraft
The Air Force of Islamic Republic of Iran (IRIAF) has announced a plan to manufacture jet trainer aircraft in line with the military's scientific breakthroughs.
Iran is continuing to manufacture advanced models of fighter jets, including Saeqeh (thunderbolt) and Azarakhsh (lightning), IRNA quoted IRIAF Commander Brigadier General Hassan Shah-Safi as saying on Wednesday.
He referred to the advances made by the Iranian Air Force to keep abreast with modern technologies and sciences.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force is the most powerful air force in the region, he further added.
IRIAF has recently launched a project to design and build the country's most advanced fighter jet, which is said to be a new generation of Saeqeh with enhanced features.
Iran has launched a campaign for self-sufficiency in the country's defense industry, launching numerous military hardware projects, including aerial and sea-borne military vehicles such as submarines, combat frigates, and various types of missiles.

Saeqeh
BS - that looks like old US military surplus from the time of the Shah with some fancy wings added and a paint job.
Don’t forget the headlights so you can fly at night.
Looks to me like an F-5 with twin tails stolen off an F-18.
FAIL !
Instead of gauges it probably has 10 or 15 idiot lights.
They will probably use an f-5f for the trainer airframe.
The first flight of the Blue Devils -Flying Martyr’s exposition team...
...going beyond seat of the zouave flying, we now have idiot stick and rudder.
Wow! Well, that's one way to depict Zeus on Mount Olympus with his thunderbolts and all..!
Thanks I didn’t know about this one.
