Does lack of interest in anything she does constitute racism by default on the part of the press? That is the only reason I can see which would motivate a press reporter to attend an event in which questions could not be answered. In reality, being reduced to a television camera is what they become at such events.

Do you mean does the press perceive it to be racism if they don't attend, or do you mean that they fear it would be perceived as racism if they don't attend?

Imho, this "listen only" briefing is the height of arrogance and disrespect for not only the press, but for all citizens of this country.
