Heads I win, tails you lose. That’s the false choice America’s Community Organizer-in-Chief just offered the states. Let me explain. Many governors are unhappy about Obamacare, so President Obama told them, “If your state can create a plan that can cover as many people as affordably and comprehensively as the Affordable Care Act does, without increasing the deficit, you can implement that plan and we’ll work with you to do it.” Sounds like he’s being pragmatic and reasonable doesn’t it?
Well then the joke’s on you.
Michael F. Cannon of the Cato Institute saw through Obama’s ruse:
A closer look shows that the president is not lifting the burdensome requirements ObamaCare imposes on states. All he’s doing is proposing to move up, from 2017 to 2014, the date on which states can apply for federal permission to impose a different but equivalently or more coercive plan to expand health insurance coverage.
The move is calculated to make it look like President Obama is suddenly being realistic about the crushing burden his horrendous big government health care legislation will impose on the states. What the president offered the states was a) the opportunity to stay the course and allow Obamacare to destroy the private health care system in due course or b) the opportunity for the states to destroy the private health care system immediately without waiting for the federal legislation to do it.
Naturally, superficial reporters at the New York Times and Politico were duped into thinking Obama had actually conceded something to his critics, when in fact he gave them worse than nothing. He offered the states an opportunity to immediately enact what he’s wanted all along (single-payer) and will get eventually as Obamacare crushes private insurers.
President Obama is a practiced Alinskyite master of deception who excels at cheating people out of their future while making them think he’s helping them. That’s what community organizers do.

Thanks...my monitor went out a couple weeks ago and I’ve been trying to work with a small, 14-inch monitor...between that and my eyesight, I’m not getting the quality I’d like...BUT...my new monitor should be in today, 24-inch HD, so maybe I’ll be able to see what I’m doing.

The Constitution means nothing to the Federal employees bound by it.
They sharked off the chains of the Constitution 100+ years ago.
That is the most scary and accurate post.
Too many of us conservative have believed that somehow the demonrats were still loyal to America.
They aren’t. They haven’t for a long time. Not any more.
But they control the judges, and the bureaucracy and the many other public services; Police, fire, schools, you name it.
We work and we pay. They seem to have won. I hope not.
I just wish more people woke up to the dangers earlier, took their kids out of public schools, didn’t run up credit cards and Heloc loans, heck, I went so far as to be a stay at home mom. My labor is for my family, not some over bearing state that is already robbing my husband.
Take away their hold on us, and they WILL diminish.
When are these governors going to just say “No”? Judge Vinson has ruled it unconstitutional and specifically stated that his decision in and of intself was injunctive which means cease and desist until the SCOTUS sorts it out. As far as I know only Nebraska has come out and said they are not going any farther with implementation until the Supremes make a decsion.
Looks like the Liar-in-Chief has put on another pathetic performance of tap dancing around the rule of law.
2012 can’t come soon enough but impeachment before then would be preferable.
