I don’t have the same level of hatred for Lincoln that a lot of other Southern/pro-Confederate-history folks on the forum do, but I’ll just say that if you’re bringing federalism into the discussion, Lincoln’s not exactly a good poster boy to use. He never lived to see the aftereffects of some of the things he did.
