Chris Matthews had an immediate reaction to President Obama’s statement on the ongoing unrest in Libya and it was not positive. Even liberal commentators Howard Fineman and David Corn agreed that Obama’s statement was weak, and since Libya is no Egypt, Obama will have to talk tougher in the future.
Matthews’ surprising review of Obama’s speech:
“This statement could have been put out by the first President Bush. It has the aspect of an Arabist statement. I shouldn’t be too strong here, but it doesn’t have any dignity. I mean – Ronald Reagan – to his credit, said ‘evil empire’ before the fall of the wall.”
After recently laughing off the idea that Reagan could be considered the greatest president, and receiving much criticism for it, it seems Matthews’ respect for Reagan is already growing. Though it remains to be seen whether Matthews’ failing marks for Obama inspires the President to make future statements on Libya more dignified.

It sounds as though Chrissy “the High School Girl” Matthews isn’t feeling a tingle going up his leg anymore.

Come on Chrissy Matthews just admit it Odumbo is taost. he is actually a milktoast president and has the spine of a jellyfish. He thought being president was going to be a cakewalk and the Nbel Peace prize would cause all the people in the world to submit to him whenever he speaks. his godlike rhetoric would cause the seas to cease the sun would be out every day and there would peace between the Sunnis and shities and the Beudoin arabs would be nice to one another and there would be the peace that his daddy promised would happen. Chrissy Matthews has been deceived by Odumbo.

I'll bet real money he, Matthews, was spewing spittle and screaming like a madman back when Reagan gave the "evil empire" speech and later the "tear down this wall" speech.
Heck, even Reagan's own State Department tried to take out the "tear down this wall" from the speech.
Chris Matthews will have to say 100 similar things before I even think about beginning to consider weighing the possibility of trusting him.
