I love it! Go GOP!
THAT is awesome! I love it!!!!
omg like they’re gonna miss that token bullshIt per diem when they’re getting whores and caddies from the left.
....pink slips should be included with these checks...
The headline is very misleading.
Their checks are not being withheld, only the method of delivery has changed. These 14 lawmakers could face charges of bribery, as well.
Bump.
Harass the hell out of these communists RATS.
Why are they being paid? They’ve admitted to deliberately walking out on the job they were elected to do and refusing to return.
My understanding is that because there is no defined work week or work hours for elected officials, (i.e., they’re often in recess, etc), they can’t be docked for being absent.
ah, the power of the purse....
;)
Perfectly acceptable.
You do not show up for work, you do not get paid.
FINALLY something.
So be it. But if the Republicans still want to obey the Geneva Convention when the Demoscub thumb their noses at it, we have already lost.
If I told my boss that I wasn’t going to work, and made a public display of going to where he was unable to get ahold of me -
it would be called ‘Work Abandonment’. I’d be fired.
So, Govenor; why not tell the legislators that if they do not return by ‘x’ date, they will be considered as having abandoned their job, and their position will be up for a fresh appointment .... let me see, who appoints a state Legislator if they are unable to fulfill their term ????
There are legal ways of addressing these things.
Truthfully, I think this kind of thing (unseating an elected official) is best left to the community which elected him/her. Wisconsin communities, like those of other states, don’t like to bossed around by the Capital.
I heard they may have state credit cards that can be cut off.
I hope so. Because you know the Dems have been charging this entire romp to the State of Wisconsin.
