White House Offers Condolences to Libya Victims (Obama: "condolences" on your massacre)

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE — The White House Tuesday offered its condolences to the victims of "appalling violence" during the crackdown on protesters in Libya, President Barack Obama's spokesman said.

"We offer our condolences to the families of the victims of Libya and this appalling violence," spokesman Jay Carney told reporters, reiterating US condemnation of the crackdown.

Carney also said he did not anticipate Obama immediately making a public statement on the situation, but that his top diplomat, Hillary Clinton, would speak to the violence at 2:30 pm (1930 GMT).

On Monday, Clinton called on Libya to end "unacceptable bloodshed" and said Washington was working urgently with its partners to make its message clear to Kadhafi's teetering government.

Clinton reacted after Libyan residents described a "massacre" of violent suppression rocking Libyan cities, and as reports emerged of demonstrators being gunned down on the streets.

It is strange that Barry is silent on this. He appears to be devoting himself fulltime to helping Richard Trumka and the Unions in return for financing his re-election campaign. Barry has no time for world affairs.

Oh crap, here we go again, a million more Muslim ‘refugees’ to America.

Every time there is a blip in any Muslim country, Obama never misses the opportunity to import hundreds of thousands of them here. Of course, with free housing, cell phones, transportation, food, medical, education, foot baths, Federally/Saudi funded mosques, etc. Hey, never let a crisis got to waste, right?. Anyway, we all know the number one goal of all of America's society and institutions is Muslim outreach. What could be more important than Muslim outreach? Nothing.

Obama once bragged to the Arabs that he was the leader of the “largest Muslim country on Earth”, speaking of America believe it or not. It would seem that he is trying his hardest to make that wish come true.

If Qaddafi were an overtly pro-Western dictator, Obama would have denounced the violence and called for his immediate ouster. Enemies of the United States are, by contrast, now handled with intentional delicacy.

That was exactly my thought. Qaddafi was persecuted by the evil Reagan and therefore doesn't automatically get thrown under the bus.

No, be he made sure to limit the use of force, to protect the pirates: More notes from the pool report: President Obama authorized the use of force over the weekend against the Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden if a threat to hostages was imminent, Carney said. Counterterrorism adviser John Brennan told Obama of the four hostages' deaths at 4:42 a.m., he said.
