Being a Senator exposes you to many issues - unless you’re one hussein 0bama who was too busy vacationing, playing golf & BBall - but to gain the best experience it is much better to have held an executive post like Governor, when budgets are drawn up, appointments made, hard decisions faced, etc. To have been Governor of the largest of the 57 [sic] states is even better preparation.
