22 months to go.

22 taxpayer paid vacations to go.

The last time we went on vacation was 11 years ago.

Where I work, I get X number of days off (sick, vacation, just don’t give a dang, whatever). I can carry over one years, and have two years worth on the books. However, anything over that, I lose. Not get a check for, LOSE, they’re gone. As if they never existed.

I take enough every year to make sure I’ve got a year + in the ‘bank’ (for emergencies), but sure enough, I take a week each year to visit in-laws, and hide out for a few days with my wife.

Now, we’re staying with family, or a (much) less than $100 a night hotel, but we’ve managed. Of course, I’m happy to just hang out at the in-laws (800 acres in Mississippi), and do a bunch of nothing (reading, walking, eating)

But, didn’t you read the article? It’s been almost two months since she spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a vacation.
