McCain, Napolitano Hint at Joint Benchmarks for Immigration Reform Talks (HURL ALERT)

Arizona Sen. John McCain and his Republican colleagues have long said they will only join Democrats on a comprehensive immigration reform deal if and when the southwest border is secured.
Now McCain says he wants to develop a mutually-agreeable set of benchmarks with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano for what level of security is sufficient and how to determine when that goal has been met.
We have to agree on certain criteria on what is successful securing of our border, McCain said today during a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing. I think it would be very helpful to all of us if you could lay out what is necessary, what assets need to be devoted and what statistics could show us that the border is being secured, and at that time I think we could move forward with comprehensive immigration reform.

This piece of crap is going to be responsible for losses in 2012.
We don’t want CIR and we don’t need CIR.

Now we see why many of us were so critical of Palin for campaigning for this POS.

Let's just hope McCain keeps saying the border isn't secure. Fortunately this Boehner/Tea Party House of Rep isn't touching Amnesty.

We all know that is the plan. The Dems will declare that the border is secure and that they are cracking down on illegal immigration. McCain, Graham, and some other RINOs will then sign on to CIR. Obama needs a win on immigration before the 2012 election. He has a real problem now because despite have overwhelming majorities in Congress, he failed to deliver.
I am very concerned that the RINOs and Obama will cook up a deal on immigration. The Reps will use the Rovian logic that they are preempting a Dem issue by doing it. And the Hispanic vote will go to the Reps.

Don’t bet against McRat encouraging Nappy and helping her to run for Kyle’s Senate seat in Arizona

Now McCain says he wants to develop a mutually-agreeable set of benchmarks Now? He ALWAYS has wanted this. Mutually agreeable, just sickening. Mutually agreeable with the left.

McCain is back to his old tricks and it sure didn’t take long.
He ran to the right of Barry Goldwater. It was a total lie and now we have to endure another six years of his noxious ass unless he dies.

If people in power had been half as diligent in securing the borders as they are in trying to facilitate open borders and cheap labor and cheap votes while pulling the wool over the public’s eye, we would not have had the problem in the first place.
To: devolve
No, McCain’s been on the dark side for a long time now. He may as well put a D behind his name and be done with it.

I have a benchmark - miles of fence versus miles of the border.
