As far as they are concerned, it is fully collapsed; their unemployment is worse, and will be the slowest to recover. The housing collapse left their neighborhoods even more dysfunctional. They can either grow up or fade into insignificance, replaced by our southern cousins in the workforce, our cities, our government, and even our prisons.
Which is why for hte life of me, that they aren’t worrying about that, running like MAD to school to get more credentials, and protesting the government about it rather than someone white getting hired for a job someone else wanted.
