Although I can’t find a UNLV budget total to save my life, reports are that the cuts are less than 10% of the total budget. I bet a 20% cut in salaries and benefits would solve their budget problems without necessitating layoffs. How often do you hear about government salaries decreasing?
You’re the one who busted into my post assuming this and that. I didn’t ping you. If you don’t want to be called on your wrong assumptions, stay away.
Go pester someone else.
And if you don’t want to be called on your wrong assumptions, stay away.
I cannot understand why the State of Nevada cannot get rid of parasites like Titus. She has added nothing to our well being and all she has ever done is swill at the hog trough, those types should be sprayed for just like Bed Bugs.
Boo hoo.
Nevada is homeless and out of work, so... uh... screw you democrat party parasite.
Full-time tenured professors make $100,000 to $200,000 per year. They may teach 1-3 courses each requiring a couple hours per week of class time), have assistants, take every seventh year off with 1/2 pay, get tremendous benefits and usually get an extra 15-20 per cent of their salary placed in TIAA/CREF retirement funds. How ‘bout taking a pay cut, you pampered freaks? Join the real world...get out of the ivory tower where everyone kisses your butts.

talking about the relative usefulness of college professors,
a riddle from a philosopher friend:
question: what is the difference between a mathematician and a philosopher?
answer: mathematician uses paper, pen and wastepaper basket. philosopher uses paper and pen.
My addendum to the answer:
pseudo-scientists like sociologists and psychologists use only paper, go to the latrine, and come out with a load on the paper.
I call it NWM (no white males)
Couldn’t help but notice.
All one has to do is look at the basketball team.
