During the last “government shutdown”, the sitting president got all the blame. Let’s just make sure that happens again.

I hope you’re right. I hope that this is the final nail in the coffin for his career.

My memory was that Clinton was able to make it ricochet on Gingrich.

Uh, not really. Newt Gingrich is still wearing the scars from that one.

um... I am not sure what alternate reality you live in because in the one I live in the Republican congress got all the blame and lost big time in the next election.

That being said, I think the circumstances are completely different this time and a shutdown would work in our favor.

No, Congress got the blame because it was a Republican Congress. Same thing will happen now because we have moonbat media.

No, actually the REPUBLICANS got the blame, when Clinton vetoed the bill the House of Reps had passed to fund the government. This was under Newt Gingrich, in 1995, as I recall. Clinton vetoed the funding bill, but the Republicans were blamed by the state-run media.

No way. The Republicans got the blame ALL of it and it cost them in the next round of elections. Why else would Urkle be saying “make my day.”

Of course, that would be authentic justice.
