Egypt: Islamist judge to head new constitution committee (No women on committee)
Telegraph UK ^ | 2/15/2011 | Richard Spencer

Tarek al-Bishry, the chairman of the constitutional panel, is a respected judge who criticised former president Hosni Mubarak and is regarded as moderate in his views. But he has been associated with Al-Wasat, an offshoot of the Brotherhood.

He has selected a committee made up mainly of judges and politicians, including a judge who is a Coptic Christian, but also a former Muslim Brotherhood MP. There are no women.

Wael Abbas, the best-known human rights blogger in Egypt, who was sentenced to prison by the Mubarak regime last year, said it was a "worrying" choice.

"There is no such thing as a moderate Islamist," he said. "We want a secular state that respects all religions and which belongs to all religions."

Mr Mubarak banned the Muslim Brotherhood and often warned that his regime was a bulwark against Islamic fundamentalism, a claim repeatedly attacked by protesters on Tahrir Square in the days leading up to his removal from office.

[Snip]

"The army seems to have made some sort of deal with the Muslim Brotherhood."

So, FINALLY, someone may be seeing that this SECULAR MOVEMENT sure doesn't have many women in participation.

Mubarak was brutal in his suppression of the muslim brotherhood. He saw them as a real threat to his rule. Mubarak was a Bush ally. Obama is undoing everything GW Bush did to keep another terrortist attack on our country.
Makes sense why obama wanted him out.
I’d bet that the muslim brotherhood has a lot of scores to settle.

Post this at the Kos cult site it will be flooded with pshycos looking for the dreaded hints of “Islamophobia.” Unfreaking believable that the Left takes as its party line the defense of Islam. FTR I think it will be the complete downfall of the left.

I strongly urge them to leave this supposed “awful” country of ours, and go wherever their little hearts will be content living with their Islamonazi brethren.

There are no choices in islham. If you are a woman, you are not much better than a dog. I can hardly wait to see all the “freedom loving” women who were out demonstrating , now being sequestered in their homes behind veils. I hope they love it.
