Radical Arabs, or Muslims——there is a difference??
Yes. Not all Muslims are Arabs, and vice versa. More importantly, a radical Arab nationalist government does not necessarily play well with Islamists- but if the nationalist regime wants to tweak the West’s nose, they could very well have alliances of convenience with such factions. The issue is realpolitik, not ideology.
