My family was VERY careful to make sure I had my speech under control BEFORE they let mom see me after my accident. Apparently, while I was drugged, tied down and entubated, I fingerspelled some pretty rough language. ;)

When my father had his stroke and was recovering, the only words he knew for sure that he was saying correctly and in the right order were all the four letter ones. :-)

That frontal lobe with its social inhibitions function wasn’t working that well while you were drugged?

I’m glad to hear Gifford is talking, which means she can probably quickly relearn her vocabulary if it was lost to the damage. May takes months or a couple years. I pray God grants her healing and repair in weeks.

At the moment we have no real defense against paranoid schizophrenics who are attracted to violence.
