Although a Jews for Palin group spring up last year, critics have alleged that many of her backers in the Tea Party, the grassroots anti-big government faction, have Nazi sympathies.

Where the hell did that come from? Is INN a liberal publication?

I don’t take this comment seriously. Matter of fact, one has to take much of what is read in Israeli media with a large grain of salt. There is much hyperbole. The Israeli left is far far worse than Israeli National News.

Oh- and no, Israeli National News is a right wing religious Jewish publication.

It’s very odd. INN is a conservative, pro-Zionist news source based in Israel. They have had more than their share of run-ins with the liberal socialist elite of that country, including having their radio station forced off the air. I don’t understand why they would make a stupid comment about Nazis. I do understand why they would be annoyed that she didn’t come to the Herzliya conference, since they use that conference to validate their place in the Israeli foreign-policy world, but that has nothing to do with Sarah Palin.

All I can think is that someone was having a bad day and wrote a thoughtless and uncharacteristically hostile article. I hope it is pulled shortly.
