Early language skills = better sigint. What’s the problem?
One of Rand Paul’s budget cutting ideas is to eliminate the Dept. of Education, from which this stinking idea springs through bribing broke school districts with federal grants.
Everyone ought to contact their Congressman and tell him you are in favor of Congressman Paul’s $500 billion budget reduction. It would do wonders for restoring local control of our children’s education.

Language classes don’t just teach the words/spelling/pronunciation but also teaches the values/culture/etc of that language/region. For example, you learn a great deal about France when learning French. My concern is that the culture of that region will be glossed over and praised as good/democratic/female friendly and great. This is obviously an attempt to glamorize and normalize Islamic countries as being equal to ours. IMHO
