What single day each year do Americans consume the most calories?
If you guessed "Today, Superbowl Sunday," you would be right. More calories consumed on SuperBowl Sunday than on Thanksgiving or Christmas.
I would guess it's because you can all that fun finger-food before, during, and after the game. That's a good four hours of solid, fun-filled party-eating and drinking. None (or not much) of the stress, anxiety, dysfunction, lost appetite, and general hassle of a traditional holiday meal.
