The quote is from a Sarah-bashing NY Times article. Funny how Politico hides the fact that the quote came from the homos at the NYT:

The quote is from a Sarah-bashing NY Times article. Funny how Politico hides the fact...

Not only did he barely credit the source of the Palin-sliming quote he couldn't resist passing along, the Professional JournOlister Ben Smith (fully approved by People Who Matter as someone smart enough to analyze and disseminate information to the ignorant masses) can't even copy-and-paste someone else's work without screwing up the location of the speech!

Ben Smith says:

Jeff Zeleny picks up something very similar at the Reagan Library this weekend...

Only problem with that deceptively simple sentence is that Sarah's speech was at YAF's Reagan Ranch in Santa Barbara, an entirely separate entity and venue from the Reagan Library, some 60 miles away in Simi Valley. Oops!

Mr. Professional Journalist Ben Smith and his editors at Politico are so busy hatin' on Palin, there's no need to fact-check those boring, basic little things they teach in Journalism 101: Who, What, When, WHERE, Why, and How? No matter, there's a meme to spread, Palin must be stopped, the facts be damned!

No, it's not a detail that significantly changes the article's desperate intent of lessening the impact of Palin's speech. But it IS a detail that reveals a lot about how much credibility Ben Smith and Politico have. We should all point and snicker at their self-proclaimed intellectual prowess when they have the temerity to try to shape public opinion. Why should anyone believe ANYTHING they say when they can't even get the TOWN right?
