Actually, that almost certainly came about because of EPA regulations that have led the pipeline companies to replace gas turbines with electric motors. In a widespread power outage (think big ice storm), you lose your gas supply, too.

Gotta disagree. EPA is full of commie/enviro types. EPA was created in response to voter acceptance of enviro/commie ideas.
Let ‘em freeze to death in the dark.
Only then will they possibly realize that enviro/socialism is as deadly as any other form of socialism.
