Something I find ironic about this is that the Saudis are complaining about the the potential rise of Islamist influence, when it’s their country, people, culture and money that are at the root of violent Islam via the madrassas.
The LSM, especially Amanpour, are trying mightily to say Obama only made "veiled calls" for Mubarak's immediate departure. They know what a dumb mistake "now means yesterday" was.

Obaba seeks to emulate Carter’s success at overthrowing a friendly Iran under the Shah and replacing him with a hostile Islamic dictatorship.
So historians can say that Carter lost us Iran (and the Panama Canal, etc) and Obaba lost us Eygpt.
