He has asked Napolitano’s chief of staff, deputy chief of staff, the chief of staff to the general counsel, Callahan and top FOIA officials to speak to the committee behind closed doors on Capitol Hill. DHS aides would not comment on whether those aides would be made available for interviews.

As DHS sought to brush back on Issa’s claim, they’ve taken to a tried-and-true Democratic tactic: blaming the Bush administration.
