Under the terms of the FCC order approving Comcast’s takeover of NBCU, at least half of NBC’s 10 O&Os have to find a nonprofit news center with which to work within the next year.

Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...

It seems to me that the media should be free to do this, or not do this, of their own accord. The government cannot force the media to operate with a preferred outlet or lose their business.

The FCC isn't Congress and this isn't a law; it's "administrative law," "rulemaking," "whatever-we-want-to-call-it," ...
