OMG this is hugh a series.

Coming on the heels of Vinson's Obamacare decision, it will be more difficult for the Journolist media to ignore Hussein's lawlessness.

Pyritic victory. Will anyone who was involved feel any pain? Have to pay anything? Nope. But by ignoring the judge, the fedgov successfully stopped drilling for long enough that the platforms moved out. They won’t be coming back anytime soon. So lifting the ban(s) is meaningless, as is this ruling.

Rule of law? Doesn’t exist any more in the US...

But the taxpayers are now on the hook to settle the case and pay the damages.

How about some indictments and prosecutions to keep this from happening again when they refuse to heed court orders in the future.

Starting with Salazar

One step at a time my friend. The slide to tyranny must first be stopped before it can be reversed.

Actually, this is a step on the path to impeachment for a cabinet secretary.

Tow the rigs out and start em up. When the Federal Marshals show up at company offices, arrest them and eject them from
the State of Texas... or wherever.

And sue the Interior Department for the economic losses incurred during the idle time.

I would try them for attempting to overthrow the United State’s government and hang them.

I'd say that arresting administration officials is too big a step to take at once, so the judge is establishing a sequence of events to follow:

1) declare the moratorium invalid
2) declare the administration in contempt and establish fines if the ruling is not obeyed
3) issue arrest warrants if the fines are not paid or if the ruling is still not obeyed

We have to get to step 3 before arrest warrants are issued.
