As NewsBusters previously reported, Sam Donaldson on Sunday's "This Week" actually thanked the anti-American television network Al Jazeera for what they do in the Middle East.
On Tuesday, Fox News's Bill O'Reilly invited Alan Colmes and Monica Crowley on his program to discuss the matter, and by the end of the segment, O'Reilly was practically screaming at Sean Hannity's former partner.

Have`nt seen O`Reilly go off on someone like that in a long time. He would get so angry he was red-faced and a big vein stuck out on his neck. I was afraid he would collapse of a heart attack or stroke. I think his doctor must have told him to cool it.

Did Alan’s eye do anything interesting during the “blow up”?

Alan Combes is on an entitlement program with Fox. If they fired him, he’d be living out of a car. He is painfully inept, and it is annoying that Fox even gives him a forum. Sure, he is a perfect rep for the loony left, but there have to be limits.

I wish OReilly had instead responded to Colmes with a calm 'yes, I do believe you're anti-American'.
Because Colmes and his like are.
Its not as though there isn't any evidence.

Dontchaknow that Glenn Beck will bring this up on the Fri segment with Bill. That should be funny.

His reason for saying that Al Jazeera is not a legitimate network is that they don’t provide “a counter.” Fox is different because it provides a counter—none other than Alan Colmes. So he couldn’t really say that Colmes is anti-American, because then his argument would be shown to be false.

O'Reilly may be a blowhard but he isn't always wrong. On the Tuesday night (2/1) 'O'Reilly Factor', Alan Colmes was his usual pettifogging self, using the time-tested leftist debate strategy of changing the subject when you can't defend your position. O'Reilly made the accurate comment that many on the left are anti-American. Alan Colmes, pretending to be annoyed at O'Reilly's generalization of liberals, in a self-rightous tone challenged O'Reilly to "name one person on the left that is anti-American". I was screaming at the TV: 'Bill Ayres"! However, O'Reilly was already berating the smirking Colmes about his attempt to justify fellow leftist Sam Donaldson's praise of Al-Jezeera. Good TV but hardly substantive. Stills, it beats MSNBC.

On the contrary, what could be more balanced than to include a genuine Anti-American for balance on your discussion shows?

Colmes always looks stupid when trying to answer Ted Baxter questions. That has got to make Colmes suicidal that the dumbest man on the planet is calling him out on his irrational beliefs and looking wise.

Hard to believe that Alan Colmes and Monica Crowley are actually RELATED(by Marriage).

Anyone ever notice how O’Reilly always interrupts women guests? He’ll ask them a question, not two seconds into their response and he cuts them off....I stopped watching him because of this...He doesn’t do it to male commentators, or if he does, they at least get a minute to give their answer before he does his bloviating interruptus.....

Anti-Americans should be shunned, possibly jailed, certainly thwarted. You think they should be given a platform on television?
To: chessplayer
I heard a radio commercial for Colmes radio show today. Featured guests: Noam Chomsky and Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I kid you not.

I have to agree with you - BOR seems even more dismissive of female guests than he is the male ones.
