Having read as much of Professor Lott’s article as I could stomach, I can’t help but observe that it would seem that the outgoing mayor didn’t get the memos about the “need for civility in our political life,” or, if he did get them, was too busy to read them carefully.
“civility” means conservatives should voluntarily silence
themselves, and if they do not, a few threats will be
employed. this might be an early example of “civility”
in action.
