The White House says a ruling by a federal judge against the new health care law is an example of judicial "overreaching" and "activism."
"This ruling is well out of the mainstream of judicial opinion," Stephanie Cutter, an assistant to President Obama, wrote on the White House's blog after Judge Roger Vinson in Florida ruled that the entire law is unconstitutional. "Todays ruling ... is a plain case of judicial overreaching. The judges decision contradicts decades of Supreme Court precedent that support the considered judgment of the democratically elected branches of government that the Acts 'individual responsibility' provision is necessary to prevent billions of dollars of cost-shifting every year by individuals without insurance who cannot pay for the health care they obtain."
A senior administration officials said the judge's analysis of the ruling was odd and unconventional and expressed confidence that the decision won't stand.

Wow!
If you're going to tell a lie, make it a whopper.
What a bunch of F’n tools.
Following the Constitution and the Framer’s intent is now “Judicial Activism”.......
I note that in 2008, then-Senator Obama supported a health care reform proposal that did not include an individual mandate because he was at that time strongly opposed to the idea, stating that if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house. A quote from Judge Vinson in the footnotes of his decision.
Homelessness could be fixed completely....if we just mandated everyone buy a house...which ought to be phase two of this giveaway deal.
A call has gone out from the private quarters to the WH mess for lots of ice.
Do they mean in the spirit of the 9th Circuit Court by any chance? This is absolutely hilarious....
ROFLMAO
Stephanie Cutter, there’s a dirty, stinky skid mark on your administration’s “face”... you better put some Windex on it.

You guys lost and will lose. This is like instant replay. The ruling on the field stands unless over turned.
Sounds like the man is fairly eloquent as well.
We needed Obama in office, as a catharsis to never again elect people of this sort.’
A new broom sweeps clean....
Oh, and please by all means take you time before it goes before the SCOTUS.
And oh yes, by all means, let’s now have a vote for repeal. Yes, let’s have Reid and company fight that.
Idiots...Friggin’ idiots....Did you guys actually think you’d stuff this thing down our throats.
The declaration of Independence and our constitution will not allow tyrany.
It took me till just now to read the entire decision. Any question this tool didn’t read a single page? The judge took great care to examine the legal precedents and show why Congress overreached. He nailed why the individuals had standing. He showed the Constitutional basis for his ruling.
Yea, she is lying, or stupid, or both.
“This ruling is well out of the mainstream of judicial opinion,”
Haha, the ol’ appeal to authority argument style. Wait, isn’t this judge the authority?
I’d also like to hear them actually counter the judges reasoning behind his decision rather than just whine that others disagree.
Others ALWAYS disagree.
