AP reportedly has copy of Grassley letter to ATF
One of the ATF sources involved with Project Gunwalker (allegations by insiders from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that bureau management allowed guns to be transported across the border into Mexico and kept the authorities there in the dark) indicates management pressure is now being brought to bear against at least one suspected whistleblower.
I am told that an agent in Phoenix has gone on record that he is cooperating with the Judiciary Committee, that the ATF office there is retaliating, and that he needs help. I am told the best way to provide that help is for the media to call Grassleys office and then run with what they are told.
I am told Sen. Grassleys office has sent a letter to the acting ATF Directors office and that the Associated Press has a copy of itso thats a question for reporters to ask Grassleys people, as well as their AP colleagues.
I am told the Senate has already been provided with substantiating evidence that demands further investigation.
Ive been in both email and telephone communication with several reporters of major news organizations, as has Mike Vanderboegh, who has been doing his own original reporting on "Project Gunwalker" on his Sipsey Street Irregulars blog. They are all unwilling to proceed unless they are put directly in contact with our sources or see documentation for themselves. As they are not in a position to provide whistleblower protection, the only safe approach is for the investigative reporters to do what has been repeatedly requested of themtake all of the information provided to date, contact the Senate offices Mike and I have identified, and start confirming what they can.
Its like they dont want to say anything until they can get the whole story, which wont come out until public Senate hearings occur, and they want to be spoon fed instead of digging for themselves. But if they can just confirm that Senate offices are speaking to ATF insiders about the allegations outlined in my prior columns (see list at end of this article), or press their contacts at Grassleys office or the AP about the alleged inquiry letter to ATF, those are both stories in themselves. To not report on that aspect of it, especially when people coming forward with allegations about wrongdoing are now in professional, if not prosecutorial jeopardy, is unconscionable.
I'm wondering how many reporters I've spoken with would be willing to go on the record and answer the question "Have you even called Senator Grassley's office yet?"
Powerful people are angry and scared. Our guys need light put on this, lots of it, and now. Investigative journalists: Investigate. Background information to bring you up to speed, including relevant questions to pursue, is in the following links.
ATF is another useless agency that should be eliminated.
The whistleblower is in deep trouble. They will destroy him.
Expect his house to be surrounded and tear gas pumped in till a major fire occurs and a couple of kids are able to escape, only to be deported to some island off the Florida coast.
The corruption runs deep.
The links are confusing...what is the boiled down issue...that the ATF was allowing gun smuggling into Mexico to artificially boost the claims that American gun shops were selling illegal arms to Mexico so that legislators could be duped into passing heavy handed gun control laws on American’s? Is that the gist of it?
Sounds like the earlier deal in WACO ~

Agreed. Put that stuff under the Commerce Dept.
Right and then get rid of Commerce Dept.
electric fence. electrified ground zone. all clearly marked in ENglish and Spanish. Make it impossible to disconnect. only thing that will work imo.
I have a different idea:
The Governor of one of the southern states could, rather easily, alter the political landscape even so far as to be accused of creating an international incident, yet be completely within their legitimate exercise of power. Heres how:
First the Governor, as the head Executive of the state, declares a state of Emergency and Invasion due to the illegal immigration.
Then they Deploy their National Guard and call the [general population] militia to secure the border with deadly force authorization.
Next, demands for federal assistance are made to Washington DC as Art 4, Sec 4 guarantees the States protection from invasion (which they are experiencing).
Now we come to a possible branching-point with three outcomes:
1 The federal government upholds its obligation to aid the State against invasion,
2 The federal government tries to be neutral / ignore the problem, or
3 The federal government acts against the State.
Now in #2 it would demonstrably show that the federal government has no interest {or even motivation} in protecting the people of the States from military invasion this would provide an EXCELLENT reason for defending the DOD and Active Army, which is one of the top three money-hogs in federal spending (SS and Health & Human Services are the other two).
In #3 then we have ourselves actual, provable, traitors. Furthermore, I would probably [finally] be enough to get people angry enough to have Grand Juries out for Congressman-blood (in addition to Federal Agent/Employee or Judge who aids them).
The ATF is trying to fraudulently create a 'crisis' so they can pass laws on bad data.
Correct. Send Alcohol & tobacco to the FDA and the balance to the FBI.
The plan came directly out of Obama's White House.
Treason at any level.
This retaliation is in line with their modus operandi of killing the puppy dogs FIRST at every house they raid! They always gun down the dogs ruthlessly.
May be huge, but it is SOP for that bunch.
