True. I've been around long enough and also spent a career in dealing with criminal acts of others, evil does not take a holiday (not to sound silly here!). Once power is attained and a "system" in place, history has taught us that it will take more than "votes" to rectify this leviathan that overshadows us.
All this time, I know good and well that there has been movement on the "civilian security force", there are what, over 30 "Czars" that are not accountable to anyone except the pretender; huge take-overs of the health industry, automobile industry, banking industry and underneath all this is the choke hold on energy production and growing food regulations not to mention the EPA's edicts, we're in serious trouble.
Add to that we have FReepers stabbing the ONE person speaking truth to power, Gov. Palin, as if this is some kind of exercise in politics 101 when we should be encouraging those that speak up for us and encouraging others to join in the fray rather than pulling the rug out from under them (her). It's the very survival of us as a people and as a nation that's at stake, nothing less.
Internet access can be shut down or severely controlled without notice thereby isolating us who utilize it for real news and staying in touch making it easier for those in power to set in motion their plans. Don't think that evil hasn't been very busy making their plans and who knows what else right under our noses.
The thing that bothers me most is the impact on my children and grandchildren. As of now, there's not much future for them and I've already seen a dispiriting cloud over them and it's not caused by Grandpa's rants because I don't do that in front of my children or grandchildren. My kids know what's happening and they are trying their best to keep our grandchildren's spirits buoyed, a daunting task especially when they are struggling with their own morale.
We know that we are in God's hands and we understand the concept of free will, we also understand that evil is on the rise in our nation, look at today's sex-saturated society (and I have seven grand DAUGHTERS no less...). Where to start?

Alleged Gun Ring Busted
Authorities Say Smugglers Planned to Ship 700 Weapons to Mexican Cartels

PHOENIX—Federal officials said Tuesday they busted a network of gun buyers and smugglers planning to ship 700 guns to Mexican drug cartels embroiled in deadly turf wars.
Law-enforcement officials arrested 17 people named in a 53-count indictment unsealed Tuesday. Police were still searching for three other people named in the indictment.
“The drug cartels go shopping for their war weapons in Arizona,” said Dennis Burke, U.S. attorney for the District of Arizona. “One of Arizona’s top exports is weapons for drug cartels.”

The arrests come on the heels of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit Monday to Mexico City for talks with Mexican President Felipe Calderón that addressed the battle against drug violence in Mexico.
