Although they do not seem to be a shrill in their protestations as they were when Bush was president, I can appreciate their not falling under the spell of Obama in this matter.
If I recall correctly Obama was going to try and bring the troops home quickly. The fact that he wants to increase spending, even if through backdoor means, makes me wonder what he knows that he didn't when he merely campaigning.
We all know that candidates aren't privy to everything. Something must have changed his mind.
