...once again the topic of an executive branch-controlled "Internet kill switch" has reared its head in Washington, on the tech blogs and in the national media.
The bill ... granted the President authority to shut down part of the Internet for an indefinite time. A later version of the bill reduced that time to 120 days, unless Congress approves an extension.
A relatively new part of the bill that exempts the legislation from judicial review is once again firing up the bill's critics. According to CBS News, the revised version of the bill, introduced in December, includes new language saying that the federal government's designation of vital Internet or other computer systems "shall not be subject to judicial review."

so these clowns won’t exempt cases of Gitmo detainees from judicial review, but they’ll gladly hand that out for this? Unbelievable!
Lincoln during the Civil war did just that, as did Wilson during WW I.
Unfortunately that precedent has been set.

Because of it, they are losing their control.
You can bet that one or more 3-letter agencies have something waiting in the wings to unleash on China, Iran, or some other unfriendly country in the event of a conflict. It would be continually updated to reflect the latest vulnerabilities, but would be designed to avoid the US.
All it would take is one politically-motivated operative to unleash it WITHIN the US, after a few modifications. Then, the administration would have their digital Reichstag Fire.
The state-controlled media would be the only source of information. And, you know what they would report....
If there was ever any doubt about what the “sign” would be indicating it is time to get the rifle out of the closet...
This scenario is in the agenda......I agree.

“Kill?” How can they say that? Isn’t that too violent? Vitriolic? Too Palin-like? What if someone shoots someone? Maybe they heard about the “kill” switch and that caused it! If obama has a kill switch, he will make people kill people!
