Cities have tried many ways to move panhandlers and vagrants out of prime shopping districts, but Santa Barbara believes it has a new angle 90 degrees. Using $50,000 in redevelopment funds, the city is planning to turn 14 benches perpendicular to the State Street storefronts they now face. The left insisted the metaly disturbed be turned loose if they were not a threat to themselves or others. Many went to living on the streets, so the left said we have a ‘’homeless’’ problem. Find out where they came from. Send them back to their families to provide prefessional intervention. Poverty pimps (advocates) do not want to SOLVE homelessness—they want to perpetuate and grow it. The more homeless, the more grants they get. The majority of homeless are mental illness or substance abuse related or both. Moving benches or giving more grant money to “advocates” does absolutely nothing—othe than create magnets for the homeless. The love warm resorts—or gaming destinations that give free booze. Send them back to people that really care about them—that wold begin to solve the problem.
In Texas, the panhandlers have enough initiative to stand up to beg. Sounds like California has some lazy bums.
