No, Ezra Klein, ObamaCare Wouldn’t Have Saved Child

Ezra Klein invokes a heartbreaking analogy to criticize the GOP for seeking to repeal ObamaCare. But this sad case has nothing to do with the new health law. Klein writes:

In February 2007, Deamonte Driver died of an infected tooth. But he didn’t really die of an infected tooth. He died because he didn’t have consistent insurance.

In England, that paradise of socialized medicine across the Pond, you’d have to get on a very long waiting list for a “minor” ailment like an infected tooth. And once you finally got in the door, the hospitals are filthy and disease-ridden, the doctors are all bureaucrats, and the health care budget is bankrupting England. Is that what Klein wants?

ObamaCare is going to put millions more people on Medicaid even as it reduces reimbursement so that no doctor can afford to take it. The healthcare system collapses and all the peasants prostrate themselves before Obama and the Democrats, beseeching them to impose single-payer and bring on the glorious new age.

From what I have been seeing, there are rumbles among Dems that maybe that Cloward-Piven scenario will end with them decorating lamp-posts before Utopia kicks in.

What the Cloward Pivens scenario didn’t foresee was the collapse of their very own welfare system.

Deamonte was a victim of his mother’s promiscuity.

Is that what Klein wants?

For us, yes. But not for himself.

He would be, of course, one of those "in charge".

Insolence coupled to ignorance is a very unattractive combination.

He is, however, a "liberal" and a "journalist".

That would be strike one and strike two in the IQ department. Well educated, certainly, but not very smart.

See Tagline.
