It's old, but my sister just told me about this today. She said her husband, a pharmacist who checked it out, had very good results with it.

I sent the link to some dear friends who struggle with chronic pain. I hope it will help.

I have had chronic chest pain for a year and a half now. I’d give anything to find some relief. Non addicting, non narcotic, without all the side effects. I would try it.

Nutra Pharma Corp. (OTCBB: NPHC)

This is a thirteen cent a share bulletin board stock. That's all anyone should need to know. Stay away!

If it's sound too good to be true, it is.

That's what my sister said was the claim. I'm a dubious osteopath about homeopathy, but she said it worked, that my brother in law couldn't get any relief before cobroxin.

I'm not so sure about that.

"The drug, which was developed by Nutra Pharma's wholly-owned drug discovery subsidiary, ReceptoPharm, will be available as an oral spray for treating lower back pain, migraines, neck aches, shoulder pain, cramps and neuralgia and as a topical gel for treating repetitive stress, arthritis, and joint pain."

Proteins and peptides undergo decomposition going through the gastrointestinal tract. Spraying it in the mouth or applying to the skin avoids much of that.

The price could be that low because these peptides from cobra venom are natural, so it can't be patented. That doesn't mean that they can't find some alternate that can't be patented.

Wow. This is why snake oil salesmen have always been able to make money from their scams - only in this case it's snake venom.

NutraPharma is a scam company run by a ceo found guilty of scientific plagiarism who took over as the former manager was busy defending multiple embezzlement charges.

There have been zero studies of this venom extract and analgesia in any peer reviewed journal - I did find a study reference with no controls used in the Chinese Journal of Snakes...

However, there have been studies on the cardiotoxic effects of proteins in the venom, ocular toxic studies, blocking of sodium channels resulting in neurotoxic effects, and a possible natriuretic peptide that could have clinical applications. Go the Entrez Pubmed site and enter cobra venom for all studies.

I'm sure there are better ways to waste your money.

Read everything about it. Tell your docs about all other natural supplements, vitamins, minerals, OTC drugs, etc., that you take besides prescription drugs.

I haven't had a doc since my father passed on in '86 but I have had chronic pain in my lower back and neck 24/7 since about that same time. I have tried quite a few things, with the exception of drugs, and know that most relief is rather temporary and superficial.

After looking over NutraPharma's web pages on Cobroxin I think I'll give it a try. If it works I will report back about it. Or if it doesn't. I know homeopathic remedies often work very well although I have never used any for pain.

I am glad to hear it is good.
I was wondering what pharmaceutical company they were creating a market for by taking Darvocet off the market.

"This is a thirteen cent a share bulletin board stock. That's all anyone should need to know. Stay away!"

LOL. You think all breakthroughs only come from Fortune 500 companies. Here's a clue. At one point, ALL of the current Fortune 500 companies were "thirteen cent a share bulletin board stock".

MOST innovation today STILL comes from small companies. The only difference is that, rather than get bigger themselves, they are bought up by the Fortune 500 types.

"If it's sound too good to be true, it is.

By no means. The correct approach is to study their data, and then decide.

Gonna take this to my neurosurgeon on we’d to see what he says. I’ll report back later. I’ve been on hydrocodone off and on for ten years. Just had fusion surgery in early December. I’m sick of pain and will try just about anything safe.
