GOP Strategist: Palin Prolonged the Polarization and Prolonged the Country's Misery

Andrea Michell is discussing Sarah Palin (what a surprise) with Democrat David Bonier and Republican strategist Vin Weber, here's the video of Weber.

-------

MITCHELL: "She had the choice of when to speak and the tone. and one has to wonder why doesn't she have a wider circling of advisers. i don't know any political strategist of a national campaign, republican or democrat who thinks that was a smart thing to do.

VIN WEBER: "Well, we really don't know who advises her. She's quite isolated from what you might think of as the Republican establishment. No one is quite sure who's advising her. I think she was way off key on what she said and the president was right on key. The country after a catastrophe like this wants a moment when you come together and heal a little bit, and they had been denied that because of all the debate about the polarizatio and the president rescued the moment, if you will, and brought the country together and for governor Palin to have responded the way she did at the time was kind of prolonging the polarization and prolonging the country's sort of misery as they waited for a moment of unity.

Vin Weber is a RomneyBOT. No surprise.

She must be polling off the charts, for the GOP to be officially joining the smear. Not the crap that they show us, but their actual internal polls, done straight-arrow with no shading or subtley worded questions.

WOW!!

She's quite isolated from what you might think of as the Republican establishment.

Right here is the rub for these people---they want her to bring them into her circle so that they can isolate and advise her to become a RINO and a team player with the Obama Administration.

And quite frankly, Palin is now a private citizen who posted her free speech on a private video hosting service, and who is supposedly washed up, irrelevant, and finished in politics.

So why all the hysteria if they did not believe that she can win it all in 2012?

Yep:

“On January 16, 2007, Weber became Policy Chairman for Romney for President Exploratory Committee”

Is there any attack on Gov. Palin which is NOT led
by the backstabber Mitt Romney?

Vin Weber Joins Romney Campaign
Weber was known among Republicans to be struggling with his decision in recent months.
In that time, he was among a number of party establishment types
that Romney has assiduously courted for a potential braintrust."

An Interview with Romney Advisor Vin Weber
Weber also believes that “executive competency” is key
and that it is vital to nominate someone who “actually ran” something,
pointing to Romney’s experience running a business
and the Olympics as well as serving as Governor for Massachusetts."

WSJ on Romney's Vin Weber Acquisition
"Romney’s gain. That’s how Republican insiders were interpreting the surprise
decision of former Minnesota Rep. Vin Weber,
to sign up this time with Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign team
as policy chairman."

Weber worked for Romney in 08...I think he is with T-Paw now, not sure if he has decided.

Regardless...he is working for Obama.

As most of the GOP does.

TIME TO MAKE THE GOP A THIRD PARTY.

It certainly seems to me that the GOP has totally caved in to the libel media narrative. Pawlenty says “I wouldn’t have used crosshairs on maps”....

Since they normally cringe and try to convince the media that they aren't really like those other mean conservatives, it disturbs them to see anyone fire back at the leftist slander.

"No one is quite sure who’s advising her.”

She's flying solo. She's praying for guidance, writing her own speeches, and has no advisor other than Todd.

From Wikipedia; Currently, Weber is managing partner of the Washington, D.C. branch of lobbying firm Clark & Weinstock. In 2006, Weber's firm received $360,297 from home mortgage giant Freddie Mac to lobby on their behalf.[1]

Vin Weber is the kind of scum that needs scrubbing from the beltway. We need Sarah Palin to clean up that damn town. I support her for president because I believe her cabinet won't contain these vermin.

Would this be the very same former congressman Vin "I lost my seat in the 1992 House banking scandal" Weber?

Yeah. Like Palin needs to be taking advice from him.

Isn’t being isolated from the GOP establishment a plus, or am I missing something?

Exactly. BTW, we’re included in Sarah’s ‘isolation’ from the GOP establishment.

Great point. I heard someone on O'reilly say that it was OK for him to express outrage about the media slander, but not Sarah because she is "a politician". Really? She resigned from office and is a paid FOX News analyst. But she shouldn't respond to libel?

Former 6-term Republican congressman from Minnesota. Got caught in a corruption scandal that otherwise bagged mostly Democrats. RINO, through and through.
