The law could be reformed so that we can deal with the mentally ill in a more reasonable way.

Fully agree. When committing laws were changed in the 80's? it made it very difficult to take the insane off the streets, these laws should be looked into again.

The libs will try to make it an ‘either or’ choice, ie either warehousing the mentally ill in horrid conditions, which did exist in some places, or letting them fend for themselves. There is no compassion in the latter. It just scatters the mentally ill into the woodwork of society where cameras can’t document their suffering as easily. And they undoubtedly suffer just as much or more in many cases.
