She claims to have pursued him because he was a shy kid. Some girls are into that, on the theory that "still waters run deep" or some such. It often works out well ... Shy Kid turns out to have a lot more going for him than appearances suggest, and he turns out to be a great boyfriend (or husband).
Other times ...
Not so much.
This one turned out to be a violent psycho ... and she claims to have ditched him (wise move) for that reason.
