Jacob Volkmann Placed on Paid Administrative Leave From Job (for Obama remarks)

Jacob Volkmann, the UFC lightweight fighter who said that President Obama was "not too bright" following his win at UFC 125, has been placed on paid administrative leave by White Bear Lake High School in Minnesota while the school conducts an investigation regarding the comments he made to MMAFighting.com about the President.

Volkmann has served as an assistant wrestling coach for the school for three years.

"They gotta do the investigation and then give me an OK to coach," Volkmann said.

The 30-year-old said he was not given a time frame by the school as to when he will be able to return to his job. The school has allowed him to continue serving as youth wrestling coach for a club team. He also owns and operates his own chiropractic practice in Minnesota.

"We are conducting an investigation and he's been placed on paid administrative leave while we're investigating," Chris Picha, Director of Personnel at White Bear Lake HS told MMA Fighting.

Picha refused to comment on why Volkmann was placed on paid administrative leave or how long the investigation will last due to what she described as "data privacy." Picha offered no other comment on the situation.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

Freedom of speech and thought no longer exist!

And what’s to investigate? A thorough investigation would just turn up the fact that Mr. Volkmann was correct in his assessment of the POTUS.

I'll see your Volkmann comment and raise you the HUNDREDS of examples of similar comments by liberal teachers of mine & my kids thru HS and college.

But the left can sure dish it out, can't they.

HUSSEIN can’t handle the truth, so as a result everyone has to suffer because of his fragile ego........I can’t wait for this idiot to get out of office.

This is an outrage. The man should be free to have, and express his opinion.

How many school employees were investigated for saying GWB was stupid?

Good thing he didn’t say or have hateful pictures like they did of Bush.

That's not what Volmann said. He said he wanted to fight Obama, because "somebody needs to knock some sense into that idiot." The Secret Service promptly paid him a visit.

No doubt the ACLU will come to his defense.

Yes, the Secret Service paid him a visit, and one of the agents said, in essence, he was embarrassed at having to investigate for the NON-threatening things Volkmann said.

If the S.S. is satisfied, then WHY do the assholes running his school have a beef about what he said?

Because they are irrational, PC, mind-numbed, hand-wringing, bed-wetting disciples of Obama and his left-wing philosophy.

Ok, that’s over the top. Even if you don’t respect the man, you have to respect the office.

Thanks for the correction.

We have to respect the office even when there is an illigitimate person in it?

“Good thing he didn’t say or have hateful pictures like they did of Bush.”

LOL. Entire sociology, anthropology, and gender and ethic studies departments should have been put on administrative leave during the Bush years if they applied the standard they are applying to this guy.

But there would have been noone to investigate because the entire University administrative staff would have been suspended also.

I just wonder how many universities would have been shut down due to lack of either instructors or students. This whole “can’t say/do” anything against the idiot in office (oops, did the NSA grab that?) is scary.
