I couldn’t give much but if a Michigander who lives hand to mouth like myself could give $10, its pretty hard to deny that everyone couldn’t pitch in $5 or $10.
...my monthly “payday” is tomorrow.
5-10 bucks....I got ripped by any number of cheap souls last time for saying that anyone could afford 10 bucks a quarter. I heard sob stories, laments about how tough it is, and just downright defiance.
I still believe that those who don’t contribute are living on Free Republic Welfare.
10 bucks is 11 cents a day. People refuse to pick that up off the street if they see it.

If everyone did, Jim’s troubles would be over.
As it is in government, the few are subsidizing the many.
Exactly. I donated $20 for the first time last week, and that’s with NO WORK in our shop right now. We always seem to get by, so I thought it was time to pony up!
This is my memory of a campaign speech "that man" gave when he was running for senate. I don't post it to be snarky at Jim, I guess I post it to say the other side isn't shy about asking for money, Jim doesn't need to be either.
Am in the same boat on such terms and I strongly agree.
