DannyTN, I’ve read on here at FR that Jerry Loughner’s friends claims that he deteriorated BIG TIME when he quit smoking pot & drinking alcohol -— and posters have claimed that many schizophrenics will self-medicate with such substances, and often become VERY mentally ill when they are withdrawn.

Harvard did some studies that said long term pot use damages the brain in the same area that is damaged in Schizophrenics.
The article in 31 would seem to confirm that pot use may not only cause schizo but makes it worse.
