The Tucson Massacre Witch Hunt
The American Thinker ^ | January 10, 2011 | Sally Zelikovsky

Posted on 01/10/2011 3:42:23 AM PST by Scanian

It's 4:40 pm on Saturday, January 8th and I'm in the car waiting for my son. It was a relaxing Saturday oriented around sports and family.

My cell phone rings and it's an unfamiliar number, so I let it go into voice mail as I usually do with numbers I don't recognize. I continue reading my book when, a few minutes later, it rings again with the same number. With only a few pages left, I hold off listening to the voice mail and read on.

I finally get a chance to listen to the message a few minutes before 5 pm. It's from a local TV station and they want to know what I, as a tea party person, think of the shooting rampage aimed at Congresswoman Giffords. I am confounded. Having not seen the news, I had no idea what this guy was talking about. In any case, why did he want a statement from a tea party person? I immediately suspected that he was trying to connect the two. Before I could even contemplate making any statement, I had to familiarize myself with the facts.

Later that night, after the Jets won and our guests left, I started surfing and watching the news. There wasn't much but it was clear from Sheriff Dupnik's press conference and a few cyber hits that many were pointing fingers at the tea party. (Surprisingly, I came across an NPR article calling for restraint before making any judgments about political motivations -- a refreshing shocker.) But too much of the rest of the commentary was predictable and pathetic.

...”Sure, just like the Juntas and Politburos of yesteryear”...

This is the best description of who they are and they MUST NOT be allowed to perpetuate their vile intentions. Do not budge, America..It is your/our freedom at stake and the exploitation of this horrific tragedy for the purpose of stifling political opposition is the lowest of the low. Pray that our new Congress will contain more Statesmen/women than political opportunists. Pray for them to have the strength and courage to stand against a political minority which will promote anti-American rhetoric and new law stifling free speech, all of which will be coming our way in the next few days.

The Left wants to muzzle conservatives. In the name of civility, tolerance and peace of course. Since according to them, only one side gets the right to be vitriolic. Every one else had better sit down and shut up.

That script is so predictable.

Where are the high profile conservatives that will respond to this leftist attempt to blame the right? They should be blaming atheism, leftism, and drugs. This guy was an apparently an atheist, leftist, drugy who liked the Communist Manifesto.

The “Today” show just ran their intro on the shooting, and showed Palin on the screen. Unreal.

Its beginning... these people will never stop. For them, the means justify the end.

Palin will be suing... if Todd has anything to say about it. They are not above the law.

Beck will be on at 9:00 EST; Rush at 12:00 and others at their appointed times.

I’m sure they’ll have a ton of stuff to say about this.

I heard that Sarah Palin is extremely angry about being accused. But the media would rather quote one another about her instead of giving us her reaction, thus the appearance of silence.

If Sarah Palin had for some reason been at this event with Ms. Giffords, this guy would probably have shot SP first.

I vote for lawsuit also. Matt Lauer needs his nuts cut off. (in a hyberbolic form so to speak)

The Tea Party should sue, as well.

There is absolutely no way the liberal media (who consider themselves “elites”) will EVER allow any decent Conservative to be elected POTUS, and if by some miracle someone decent is elected over their heads, they will beat the lie drum so hard every day until the public does what they want. - That’s how they got their man Obama elected. - The media has incited so much hatred of Governor Palin that (they hope) she won’t dare to run. - The shooter in Arizona IS pretty much one of them, a leftist; but they can still blame whomever they have to in order to keep King Barack ensconced on the throne.

Above all, freedom of speech protects the right to dissent against government. Someone help me understand how we can dissent without someone who favors government power feeling it is “vitriolic”?

They’re just reading their talking points. Deep down, they know they are FOS.

Sometimes you just have to talk “at” cerain people since they make it impossible to talk “to” them.

I had to turn Good Morning America Off this morning, I am shocked at their naked attempts to blame the shootings on Sarah Palin. Even going as far as commenting she has “Blood on Her Hands”. The attempts at indoctrination by the MSM these last two days reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.
Now I read the Dems want a law making it illegal to “threaten” lawmakers, and I wonder if this is code for disagree, and/or be critical of lawmakers policies.
America is on a very slippery slope with such policies, and there are already laws against threatening people.

It's an old play from an old playbook:

Communist propaganda became even more disgusting, brazen-faced, and insolent. Even in the times of the perestroyka, the more Communism failed, the more the media praised its economic and social achievements. Everyone knew it was lies, including the propagandists. But the goal was not convincing people anymore, nor changing their minds.

The goal was to provoke them to anger, and ultimately to rebellion. The more abusive, openly lying, disgusting the Communist governments became, the better the chance for the people to revolt. The government had its human shields to protect it from such an insurrection – the police, the gendarmerie, the secret police. The goal was to get some of those human shields killed by those who couldn’t bear it anymore. Once some of the pawns got killed, the governments could find an excuse to use full-fledged violence against the “hooligans,” and thus destroy the opposition before it was too late.
from The Lefts Last Gamble --Bojidar Marinov

No one understands this like someone who has lived it. And if history's any indicator, look for worse to come. Much worse. War is coming folks. The monsters who would rule ushave been looking for an opening, an opportunity to seize. Didn't matter whether it was a half-wit Dutchman or an unhinged 911 Truther - anyone or anything would do to unleash the degringolade.

So this may well be it. Better be fueled, loaded, and on the tarmac with engines hot. DEFCON 5 time.

Don’t hold your breath. They will sit on their hands and let Sarah fade all the heat. They don’t want her.
