There are two types of ways people become citizens, and only two ways - they are born here, or they are naturalized. That’s it. There is no difference between a “NBC” and a ‘mere born citizen.’

I defy anyone who believes differently to point to one, single, solitary, piece of government documentation (birth ceritifcate, passport, etc.)issued to anybody that draws a distinction between a ‘NBC’ and a mere ‘born’ citizen.

If his parents were Cuban nationals with “allegiance” to the Cuban regime, there might be an argument against NBC status but they were not, so it is a moot point in Rubio’s case.

Hussein-—now that is another matter.

Not really. there are 4-5 different definitions of citizen in this country. If you are born here and your parents are not US citizens you are a “Born citizen”. Natural Born Citizen is generally defined as born in the USA of 2 citizen parents. Barack Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen and how he was allowed to become President is still a mystery to me and millions of Americans.

4 Supreme Court cases have defined Natural Born Citizen as born in the USA of 2 citizen parents and this comes from Vattel’s “Law of Nations”. I am tired of posting the SCOTUS cases look it up for yourself.

How about the requirements listed in the Constitution regarding becoming President and Vice President? It is ONLY there that NBC is required, not for any other office. If there is no difference then why is that stated?

And why did the framers exempt themselves? George Washington was born here?

I don’t understand how anyone can believe that these men would go through and sacrifice all that they had to create a government with explicit laws and then follow it up with something so lame. Since we our country was founded on the principals of free men choosing their destiny, there was also a need for allegiance to our principals.
