Gov. Christie signs 'Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights' (more "gay rights" laws)

Gov. Chris Christie has signed a bill advocates say gives New Jersey the toughest anti-bullying law in the nation.

Christie signed the “Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights,” according to a press release from Garden State Equality, the state’s largest gay rights organization, which advocated for the bill.

The new law is intended to eliminate loopholes in the state’s first anti-bullying law, passed in 2002, that encouraged school districts to set up anti-bullying programs but did not mandate it.

It will require training for most public school teachers, administrators and other employees on how to spot bullying and mandate that all districts form a "school safety team" to review complaints. School districts would be graded by the state on their efforts to combat the problem.

Administrators who do not investigate reported incidents of bullying would be disciplined, while students who bully could be suspended or expelled. School employees would also be required to report all incidents they learn of, whether they took place in or outside of school.

The bill sailed through the Assembly and Senate in November. It passed 73-1, with 5 abstentions, in the Assembly. It passed the Senate 30-0.

Christie signed the bill Wednesday, spokesman Michael Drewniak said.

"He signed it, and we're overjoyed," said state Sen. Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen), one of the bill's prime sponsors.

State Sen. Diane Allen (R-Burlington), also a prime sponsor, said while the law won't end bullying, school employees will know how to better deal with it.

"While we cannot change human nature, we can change how government and school officials respond to unacceptable behavior," she said.

The bill, in the works for almost a year, gained publicity and momentum after the suicide of Rutgers freshman Tyler Clementi, whose roommate streamed a romantic encounter between him and another man over the internet.

The homosexual mafia scores again with another "Republican".

BTW, this kid Tyler Clementi as you all recall, had his OWN webcam where he did sex shows online for other homosexuals. (It was posted here for a few days, and pulled after his death got so much liberal press)

They were explicit, I saw a few, he obviously was not a private person.

F-this,
I once stood up for this guy but I am losing my patience with him. He is nothing more that a “show”. Fires a few people, blasts the unions and that’s it. My taxes went up, schools are even worse, I still can’t carry and heavy gun restrictions.

Seriously Christie, what the HELL are you really doing? Fed up with this state, Liberalism and RINOS!

One of the more common forms of bullying occurs when a homosexual hits on a guy.

Full enforcement of this new law should clear the public schools of homosexuals in weeks.

This bill passed the legislature with only a SINGLE vote against it — a virtually unanimous endorsement.

So I would have to see the text to understand whether it really is giving any special rights for gays.

bullying itself has no place in schools, and training teachers to recognize bullying, and requiring schools districts to have a bullying plan, seems rational.

Kids shouldn’t get verbally or physically abused for being fat, or being ugly, or being gay.

Extremely disappointed in this. I have been very reserved in giving full support to Christie and now he disappoints again. I had seen the thread on FR yesterday asking for people to call his office and I did yet it did not help and he still caved to this legislation that is really geared towards indoctrinating children to the left-wing / libertarian perverted morality. While I am still glad to have Christie over the democrat here, he still is not a real conservative but a RINO.

Other behavior to be considered bullying and condemned with an ‘Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights’:

1) Displaying American Patriotism——this bullies ‘undocumented immigrants’

2) Public prayer by a Christian-—this bullies those in the religion of peace

3) Pursuing a profit in a business—considered bullying against the the disenfranchised poor

4) Disagreeing with the progressive agenda—considered bullying against socialism

5) Not accepting the pro-choice movement—this is bullying against women

6) Opposing the green agenda—bullying against the environment

7) Not agreeing with the Black Congressional Congress—bullying based on race

8) Those who diet and exercise regularly-—bullying against the ‘weight challenged’

9) Not dating the ugly man or woman—bullying against those who are ‘appearance handicapped’

10) Cheering for your team after it has won a championship-—bullying against those who team lost

“I once stood up for this guy but I am losing my patience with him.”

Why would you stand up for him? He is a liberal. If you are Conservative 99.9 percent of the time, guess what? You are a liberal.

The reason Conservatism works is because of our love for God and Country and our committment to our Constitution.

Remember, if you are a Conservative you are a Republican. If you are a Republican, it doesn’t mean you are a Conservative.

LOL, the homosexuals are telling the press they are HAPPY.

This has nothing to do with bullying, which all adults in school systems try to stop, and always have.

Obviously, this law as stated in the article is mandating training our children and teachers on how not to offend/hurt other children (who thru liberal/homosexual propaganda now think they prefer anal sex which is normal and natural).

It is more indoctrination, with the new legal threats to anyone who speaks up....it is called intimidation.

And it is only the beginning, they now are able to discipline military men for “hate speech”...soon we will be like Canada and Europe where even religious leaders with be under the threat of hate crime laws.

Kids shouldn’t get verbally or physically abused for being...

So, should kids not get mentally abused for being a poor learner too? I mean, teachers are usually the WORST abusers of children by giving failing grades and letting students grade each other's tests. This can be very degrading and abusive to the pride and degenerative to the growth potential of the child as well! /slight SARC

Look, kids "bully" in many ways. Which ones are you going to stop? Now all kids must be forced to congregate together as one group instead of their own decided little cliques? This could be considered "bullying."

Bullying is the problem it is today because of stupid liberals! Back when kids were allowed to fight back, bullying was less likely to continue AND the person being bullied usually learned a valuable lesson in standing up for themselves! It was a TWOFER!

Several of my best friends in high school were guys I had physical fights with in Junior High! We learned that we were not all that different and we settled our differences and that was that!

Bullying is nothing but a lack of moral guidance inside a youthful, overly energized package! No law, NO LAW will ever be able to force moral guidance on children! That comes from PARENTS! Sorry, for the length, but I will get off my soapbox now!

The anti-bullying business does have the elements of a scam about it — but in this case, it might be worked to the good. After all, there are all kinds of bullying going on, because of the general breakdown of any sort of discipline in the public schools. I know of teachers who have been bullied by students, for example.

ALSO, this should be a state matter, and the feds should not be involved.

Apparently Gov Christie of NJ has signed a new indoctrination law.

He should be signing a law saying homosexuals and their agitators, must stay out of our schools to prevent them from further instructing children to “Say Yes” to this medically dangerous, deadly and destructive lifestyle.

Are parent there nuts? Or do they watch too much “Will and Grace”, and think that “gay” guys are just funny, and cook and dress well?

If the liberals would allow discipline instead of worrying about childrens “self-esteem” we wouldn’t NEED anti-bulling laws that are useless crap.

Who said anything about Federalism, States rights, or getting the Feds involved?

The Feds LOVE this kind of intimidation.
