I think energy security is the most important issue we're dealing with in this country, he said.
The growth of Iowa's renewable energy industry was his biggest accomplishment during his four years as governor, Culver said.
Today, 20 percent of our power in this state is renewable power, and that's up from 5 percent when I started.

The windmills that dot the Iowa landscape are just hideous. I will concede that ONE windmill turning in the wind can be a bit majestic...
But dozens scattered randomly facing different directions and not moving at all is an eyesore.

We need to yank renewable subsidies and reduce barriers for the nuclear industry.
Nuclear is our best hope for energy independence.
Renewables are a scam and a false hope.
Chet Iowans may have a different view of your “renewable” energy when they are unemployed and sweltering or freezing in darkened homes.
That, and start pumping that crude out of the ground and the oceans.
